This event was a dream of Larissa Benson's and Sarah Morra's, the Charity Founders and Brokerage Owners of RE/MAX Legends, for years. In 2017, it all came together. This year we are thrilled to present our 6th annual in person event! This program was created to give back to foster and DFACS children in our community that do not have the means for the normal back to school shopping experience most of us take for granted. Hand me down items and gifts are wonderful. However, there is something very empowering about being able to PICK your back to school items. Our charity is a one day extremely impactful event. When the children arrive, they are paired with a VIP personal shopper for a one on one experience. Their shopper (one of our volunteers) spends the morning with the child. Oftentimes they are listening more than speaking. They participate in activities with the child. Like even riding the hot air balloon, and helping their child shop at Target. The children love to go shopping. They are also learning about coupons, and getting the most for their money. Sometimes, for the first time in a while, they have an adults attention completely devoted to them.
