Over 150 people attended the 1st annual Kids Shop Charity event on Saturday, July 15th. Kids Shop is a charity event founded by Larissa Benson, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Legends, that supports foster children and gives them a day that is all about them! Kids Shop had over 50 shoppers, who each had their own personal shopper and $100 Target gift card for their morning shopping spree. Hosted at RE/MAX Legends, the early event had breakfast provided by Bojangles, Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, and Choices To You. In addition to the shopping spree, the kids received a $50 gift card for Bojangles, and 2 free bowling games at Stars & Strikes. The kids, their foster parent, and a personal shopper, all took a trolley from RE/MAX Legends Buford office, to Target, for their shopping experience. In addition to shopping, the kids were also able to experience pony rides, a goat petting/feed area, RE/MAX hot air balloon rides, a bounce house, an obstacle course, a ‘crazy hair’ station, and live music by Steven Bell! The weather that morning could not have been better.

Larissa Benson had this to say after the event, “My heart is full and my soul is happy. So many amazing people came together today to create magical memories for a group of 50+ foster children in our community. I know from their smiles and laughter that we made a difference. I will always remember this day and all the people who helped make it possible. A special thanks to everyone at RE/MAX Legends for all of your hard work today, Vanessa Bell for all her work coordinating everything, all the sponsors, all that donated, and all the amazing volunteers that gave their time and attention to our event and the children. It takes a village. And today our village made a difference. I can’t wait until next year!”. if you’re interested in sponsoring a child for the 2018 event, or donating your time, please contact us.
